Secretary Bonner Congratulates Broadband Task Force On Receiving CENIC 2008 Innovations In Networking Award
Business, Transportation and Housing Agency Secretary Dale E. Bonner released the following statement in response to the announcement that the Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC) has awarded the California Broadband Task Force the "2008 Gigabit/Broadband Award."
"I would like to congratulate the California Broadband Task Force on receiving this award. Each member of the Task Force remains dedicated to determining the availability of broadband throughout the state and finding ways to increase broadband adoption rates. This award aptly reflects the hard work and long hours devoted to this important effort."
"I would also like to thank CENIC for their recognition. As Governor Schwarzenegger has repeatedly demonstrated, we are committed to ensuring that California remains at the forefront of global technology. I hope that CENIC's acknowledgement will encourage further innovation in this important industry."
